Hello and welcome to MishisM Chins!
**This website was created using and looks best when viewed with Firefox web browsers. In some other browsers, this site looks askew so please consider using Firefox.**
MishisM Chins is a small chinchilla ranch located in central Pennsylvania. I am currently focusing on standards and sapphires. The goal is to improve the overall quality of the sapphire mutation, starting with size and fur quality. In addition to sapphires, I have a few lines of pure standards as well as a few whites, beiges, and blacks.
I am a proud member of both MCBA (Mutation Chinchilla Breeder’s Association) and ECBC (Empress Chinchilla Breeder’s Cooperative). Currently, I am the president of the MCBA’s Atlantic Chapter. I both attend and participate in several chinchilla shows every year.
In addition to breeding for show, I will also have pets available from time to time. All of my kits are handled beginning the day they’re born to ensure friendliness with people. I enjoy helping and educating whenever I can, so if you have any questions regarding chinchillas, don’t hesitate to ask! You can shoot me an email at mishirish@yahoo.com, please put “Chinchilla” in the subject line so I catch it. Sorry, no phone calls please.
Please feel free to browse this site as it continues to grow. I hope to keep it updated frequently and will list the details of each update below.

Woo hoo, B kits are on the way! Already had 4 born so the Nursery page has been updated, and will hopefully be filling up soon. =)

I’ve been making some changes to my website to make it easier for me to keep up with, and also save some file space as my herd gets larger and larger. STILL waiting on some fall litters, so I don’t have much else as far as updates.

Show season is starting! The New York/New England show is next weekend and I just finished rough grooming my show string. Quite a few of them look pretty promising! Also, I’ve got a bunch of females finally gaining some weight, hopefully signalling that my fall litters will pick up. If not, my spring show string is going to be slim pickings. =p

As predicted, the summer has been going very slowly though I have had a few kits born. I am looking forward to the show season starting next month, and hopefully a baby boom as well!

Show season is over, my herd rearrangement is complete, and this site is currently up to date! All there is to do is hunker down for the summer and keep those critters cool. Should be a busy fall, though, with all my new pairings in place.
